About Us

Tizer Gardens began in 1997 when we fell in love with and purchased a small piece of property on Tizer Lake Road in Jefferson City, Montana. It was in this backyard paradise, which sits in the heart of the Elkhorn Mountains and straddles Prickly Pear Creek, that we began gardening.

In 2000, we opened our gardens for visitors and last year welcomed over 15,000 visitors. In 2003, we started a nursery to share the wonderful plants which we have discovered will grow in this unforgiving climate. Shortly thereafter, we began hosting a variety of annual festivals, high teas, and weddings.

After receiving many requests to make our products available for purchase on the Internet, we started selling online in 2008 as well as out of our Gift Shop at the Gardens.  We are delighted to offer teas, t-shirts, gloves, garden statuary, garden art, sculptures, garden ornaments, garden gift ideas, tools, seeds, books, lots of fairy and gnome stuff, chemicals, deer fence, antiques and lots more.
